      THE outlook for the publishing industry remains positive worldwide and Singapore stands to gain from it, said Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communication & The Arts, at the opening of a 10-day book extravaganza yesterday.

      He cited a survey by PriceWaterHouseCoopers, which projected that the global book publishing industry would grow at about 2.8 per cent annually to reach US$129 billion (S$195.37 billion) by 2012.

       

      SM said don't some spending...ya...when you still continue to earn millions in a iron rice bowl.

      What a creative (think out of the box) way to get Singaporean to spend and support the economy...

      a little positivity in such gloomy times won't hurt. if you got no money, what sm says won't matter.
