In singapore, you don't get to vote most of the time anyway.

so true, but ppl here seem to want to start
a revolution. personally i don't like either side, so like I said
in another thread, I'm gonna be putting in a blank vote ( I'm not
ignorant, I keep up with what's going on ). If that's the case
could I rather go out with my friends or have a nice long nap?

Actually, no. I don't wanna vote cause none of candidates impress me, therefore I find it a waste of time, if if go put in a blank vote, and I definitely don't wanna vote for someone i don't fully support. But I do know of people like that. I'm sure many of us do....

If you do not present yourself to the polling station, (how you vote after that is your own business) what can happen?
You will not be eligible to vote in the next election. If you want to vote, then pay a fee ($5 ?) to reinstate your name.
Otherwise nothing will happen to you.
serious ah? always thought you'd get like a 500 buck fine or smth the way they always say "voting is compulsory... yada yada yada". Ok then, I don't need to worry

How sure? That's only your assumption.
There are so many people who wanted to vote but their constituencies have been 'walkover' so many times.
You're a Singaporean (whether you like it or not), exercise your right to elect as a citizen. But then it seems like you're not even 21 yet.

Those who wanted to vote, please start to shift your house to those towns with no walk over ones. For those walkover ones, we leave it empty, see how they are going to walk over??
