dont think so.

a good chunk of our BPV armour comes from rabintek. which produces class III armour for the IDF too.

you know i recall i didn't see the IDF has Bullet Proof vest either. Maybe human survivor instinct is a better weapon. If the state of israel is overrun than they die with the state.

I just think having the same uniform has become the hallmark identity of IDF in defending their country.

Recruits don new uniforms

NEW recruits are among the first of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) servicemen to wear the new 'digital camouflage' uniforms.
The more than 1,000 recruits from the Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) on Wednesday lined up in the first public outing of the pixellated uniforms, more than three months after it was first unveiled.

They were released on leave from their Pulau Tekong camp for the Christmas break.

The pixellated uniform will be phased in over the next three years, with recruits, active servicemen and some national servicemen (NSmen) already receiving their new uniforms.

By 2011, all NSmen will be wearing the new style. There are about 300,000 active and reservist personnel in Singapore.

The new-look combat fatigues, commonly known as the No. 4, bear tiny pixels that create a 'quivering effect' on the eye.

This will in turn make it harder for a soldier to be spotted at distances of less than 50m. Besides the pixel patterns, the uniform comes in new shades.

That would depend on which unit and when sgstars is getting his equipment. Having tried out all the versions of the LBV from the initial ones when they switched from the SBO until now, I can safely say that as time passes, the quality of the issued equipment drops, probably because the high priority units are issued the good stuff first, and after that mass production and cost cutting measures kick in and they manufacture the stuff in PRC, resulting in a rapid drop in quality and durability.
