    • eh ? technically its an offence to bring unconsumed rations out of SAF camps.

i like the beans and hot dog ones.

hell, anything with the hot dog tastes good cold. my personal all time favourite is the chili rice with hot dog (or was it chicken sausage ? same thing i suppose). anything without usually sucks. they taste much better hot.

try squeezing em out, mix with about 100-150 ml of boiling water. thats the optimum time + hot food combo.

pasta packs usually taste good if you can microwave em (please remove from packaging first though). put a slice of cheese or grated mozarella and they taste pretty decent.

the ultimate would be the barely nata de coco desert satisfied.png that really makes your day feel better. its nice. and if served chilled, twice the awesomness.

wahh... i never had the luxury of that.

but wont get oil and grease smell meh ? but the tonner engine is below tha driver cabin le.. haha how u get it there ?

forgot to mention : the glutinuous rice combat rations have some effect on some people. some will feel like shitting immediatly after eating glutinuous rice.

dont touch chicken pongtay rice. people go hungry rather than eat those. dont touch the duck ones either (should be phased out already, very unpopular)

    • Chicken stew, ham and smoked sauce, black sesame glutinous rice and chicken porridge with groundnut are the BEST!

    • I think the ham and smoked sauce one is the worst actually haha.. it tastes weird. Too salty.

But no matter what flavour you eat, they all smell the same! That's scary..

the packs are only eaten when u go for field camps (aka out-field)
they are not healthy. their main purpose is to make you full and give u energy.. not really for everyday dining
btw.. all the non-veg packs contains chicken if u noticed

LURP rations? Cos i dont remember having to put water in the green packs before.

Had a bad experience with field rations during a 9 day exercise, my sispec section decided to open all the issued packs and take what they want minus all the useless stuff to reduce weight. when i finally got into the pile, all i got was nine days worth of nonya curry rice and mutton curry rice. forget the weight loss diet programs, try eating that shit for 9 days.  tongue.png

Nowdays there are Oreo cookies, milo can drinks inside accessories pack.. To think last time having a chocolate biscuit pack filled with ice water to make a cake is great stuff..I wish enlisted later..
