      New motorcycles to be fitted with new In-Vehicle Units

      SINGAPORE : From Wednesday, all new motorcycles have to be fitted with new In-Vehicle Units.

      These are meant to make paying electronic road charges hassle free.

      The smart devices can automatically top-up one's CashCard and will also show the amount deducted each time a motorcyclist passes an electronic road pricing gantry.

      The new dual mode units cost S$150 each and it is not mandatory for existing vehicles to be fitted with them.

      However, they will be installed on all other new vehicles from early next year. - CNA/ms

      Looks like I will be using my old one until it is phrased out.

      the new one is pretty small

      my friend puts the old IU in the compartment under his seat for his Silverwing

      of course still need cash card lah. then what? free ah? teeth.png

      its just a thinner rectangle box, without the bulging head of the previous version

      kinda like a portable HDD

      last time i also hide here n hide there.

      end up make myslf very boh eng when it cannot be detected thn kena lta letter to go for IU inspection....

      kena so many times until i give up n put it on "display"
