Upgrading Or Downgrading Of PES
(From Admin Point Of View)
[\b]
[b]Downgrade To PES C/D/E (Perm or Temp)
Downgrade to a certain PES status will mean that you due to your medical condition you are no longer fit to be in your current vocation.
This means that you will be re-vocate to a vocation that suits this PES status.
1.) Re-vocation is done by the SAF and not choosen by the soldier.
2.) Re-vocation depends on PES grading.
3.) Re-vocation will also mean you can be re-depolyed to another formation, unit or camp altogether.
Upgrade From PES C/D/E
For: Enlisted as PES E or Temp PES E Status
PES E Upgrade to PES A, B or C will mean a re-vocation. You will be required to take your BMT in accordance to your PES status (in Tekong). And subsequent Re-vocate to your new vocation.
PES A/B/C Downgrade/Upgrade BMT Recourse
This section is applicable to those who downgraded or upgraded to any of the PES A/B/C
1.) If the person completed and PASSED his BMT course then dun need to recourse liao. This applicable to those who downgrade/upgrade after BMT.
2.) If the person completed but FAILED his BMT then recourse is a must. This is regardless if he is downgraded or upgraded. As long as u neber pass ur BMT u have to redo again. Of course in accordance to ur PES status.
3.) If the person OOC during BMT and downgrade. Then yes, u must go for recourse. Yes, even those OOC just before the POP. No choice.
This is because, u neber complete and pass ur BMT.
PES C Need Reservist?
Yes.
Will try to add in more, others can help, cause me also abit rusty liao.

Hi I am new to these forums and I would like to ask (I am a PES C1/L2) and I am not enlisted yet (apr 22nd) what is my brief training schedule for my BMT? I've heard some of my friends mentioning that I need not do SOC and I have shorter distances for road marching.
And what units/headquarters will I be posted to when I POP? Thanks

You will be assign to the BMT course which is avaliable at the next best date. Be it recourse or the enlistment course. No need to worry, it is PES C, it is already cater to your PES status.
During reservist, same as what you do during your NSF days.

A NAPFA Gold pre-enlistee is graded obese. Does he do the obese BMT and get 2 months deduction from the 2 years of NS?how is that possible? a PES E and obese gets IPPT Gold!?

maybe the PES E is possible, depending on his medical problem. but obese!? no offence but...

are u in BMT right now? maybe the MO has good intention in mind. cos if u take more then 14 days of MCs, u will be OOC.
