    • Hey guys,I have a little question that I wanna ask.

I have just completed my BTT and thus wanna take my FTT..But the FTT dates all will fall during weekdays, which will be on my army days..I am enlisting on DEC 11..

So I am asking whether is it possible to take leave on the test day? Will officers makes things difficult for people who do that?

    • The next available date would be in Jan 15,which will be during my BMT..So i guess I have to take it only after my BMT,where I have been posted already..Chances of applying for leave successfully would be higher?

    • depends on where you are posted to after bmt. if you are continuing in command schs or training institutes, maybe won't be that difficult, but i feel will still have a bit of difficulty.

but there're no driving tests in the night one right? cos i feel night time usually less training, approval of leave for driving sounds more logical and acceptable.

      Nope...testers work office hours...

I suggest TS keep his BTT and wait until he actually starts on his unit posting before thinking about going on to FTT...unless he doesnt mind his 6 bucks being forfeited.angel.png

another way to look at it is...U managed to get time off for your FTT...U pass...but then U still in army training phase...going for regular practical lessons would be tough...and ur FTT validity date is already counting down...tongue.png

      and....skarli U posted as driver leh?teeth.png

apart from sick leave / compasionate leave...

the key reason to take time off from BMT is either go attend Graduation Ceremony or medical appt, else... no other reasonable reasons nothing else is granted...

depends on commander. my fren asked and he got it. my orderly room chief clerk used to say: if u nv ask, u wont know whether u will get sth or not. so y not try asking?

    • Yeah,I believe a lot is under the discretion of the commander..I believe it helps if a soldier's attitude in the camp is good and stuff like that..
