SINGAPORE: A man has been arrested for threatening bank officers with a parcel which he claimed would explode.
Eyewitnesses told Channel NewsAsia that a man entered the UOB Branch at the City Plaza building in Tanjong Katong on Monday afternoon at about 3.40 pm.
He was said to have threatened that a parcel he was holding would explode, if he wasn't given money.
As a precaution, the second floor above the bank had to be evacuated.
A guard at the bank managed to pin him down and he was later arrested and taken away by police. - CNA/vm

No matter how bad the economy is, robbing in singapore was never a good idea

It's because the common robbers that rob banks don't have elaborate planning, they just walk in pretending that there is a bomb in the package, that's why all the bank robberies are failures in Singapore, maybe it has to do with the intelligence of her citizens.
You would need careful planning with a group of robbers plus knowledge of the security system in the bank itself.
Also need to plan getaway.
This guys is so retard, didn't even take out the cisco security officer.
